How to Make a Dam Wall Run AI Video From One Photo
Put yourself, a friend or your pet in the viral dam wall run: what photo to use, which length to pick, how long it takes and how to post it.
Last updated: 2026-11-02
All you need is one photo: of yourself, of a friend who agreed, or of your pet. Upload it to Wall Run AI, pick 6, 10 or 15 seconds, and you get the viral dam wall run with your subject as the runner, as a vertical 9:16 MP4 in 720p. The waiting screen estimates about 4–5 minutes for 6 seconds, about 8–9 minutes for 10 seconds and about 15 minutes for the full 15 seconds, and it can take longer when the queue is busy.
How to Make It in Three Steps
- Pick one photo. One person or pet per photo, facing the camera, face clearly visible, in good light. JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC up to 10 MB; iPhone photos are converted automatically, and very tall or wide photos get white bars added. On a computer, the "Upload from your phone" button shows a QR code: send the photo from your phone and it appears in the uploader about 2 seconds later.
- Upload it and pick a length. Sign in with your Google account, drop the photo into the generator, tick the consent box and choose a length: 15 seconds for 20 credits (the whole take, from the start line next to the security guard to the celebration), 10 seconds for 13 credits (from the run up the wall), or 6 seconds for 6 credits (the backflip off the top, the slide down and the start of the celebration). Then start the render with the generate button, which shows the credits it uses.
- Download and post. When it’s ready, download the MP4 or use the share-to-TikTok button on the result. You don’t have to keep the page open: the video waits in your account, and you can turn on a browser notification for when it’s done.
Photo Tips for a Better Likeness
- One subject. One person or one pet. Group photos make it unclear who should take the runner’s place.
- Face the camera. A clearly visible face in good light gives the model the most to work with.
- Nothing covering the face. Sunglasses or a hat over the face weaken the likeness.
- Show the whole body if you can. The runner is seen head to toe, so a full-body or at least waist-up photo helps.
- Use your own photo. Celebrity faces and screenshots with another app’s watermark get refused by the AI provider’s content check. Your credits come back if that happens, but you’ll need a different photo.
Make Your Dog or Cat Do the Dam Wall Run
A pet can be the runner too. Upload one photo of one dog or cat: facing the camera, in good light, with as much of the body visible as you can. Pets keep their own body, so a dog runs up the wall and slides back down as a dog, on its own legs, and a cat as a cat. Pick 15 seconds for the whole take, from the start line to the celebration; the 10- and 6-second versions start later in the run. Everything else is the same as for a person: a vertical 9:16 MP4 in 720p with the clip’s crowd sound and no watermark.
Which Length Should You Pick?
- 15 seconds if you want the full story people recognize: standing at the start line, the sprint, the backflip, the slide in a spray of water and the celebration.
- 10 seconds if you want to jump straight to the run up the wall.
- 6 seconds for the backflip, the slide and the start of the celebration. It uses 6 credits and has the shortest estimated wait.
Other Ways People Make It
- One-photo templates in an editing app. Many of the "giant ramp climbing" posts were made this way. You need the app and the right template.
- A general AI video model. You can try to recreate the scene yourself by describing it in a prompt, which means writing and testing the prompt on your own.
- Wall Run AI. Uses the Wan 3.0 video model to copy the original clip and swap in the subject of your photo, so the dam, the crowd, the security guards, the camera moves and the timing stay as they were. The likeness is close but not guaranteed to be perfect.
Posting Your Dam Wall Run
- The video is already vertical 9:16. Download your MP4 and upload it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts for personal sharing. The result page also offers direct sharing to TikTok.
- It carries the original clip’s crowd sound, so you don’t need to add a song.
- Hashtags you’ll see on these posts include #WallRun, #DamWallRun and #AIVideo.
- Say it’s AI-generated in the caption, and don’t present it as a real stunt.
- There’s no watermark, and you can share your videos on social media for personal use.

How-To Questions
How many photos do I need?
One. The dam wall run has a single runner, so one photo of one person or pet is all it takes.
Can I make it on my phone?
Yes, you can upload straight from your phone. On a computer, the "Upload from your phone" button shows a QR code so you can send a photo from your phone instead.
What happens if my video fails?
A failed render is retried once automatically for free. If it fails again, the credits go back to your balance automatically, and so do the credits for photos the AI provider’s content check refuses. If a finished video has a problem, email support@wallrunai.com and we refund the credits that video used, in money, to your original payment method through Stripe; if you’ve used only part of a pack, the credits you haven’t used yet are refunded in money too.
What happens to my photo?
It’s used only to make your video, and the AI provider doesn’t keep it. Uploaded photos are deleted automatically 30 days after upload, and your videos stay in your account until you ask us to delete them.
Can my friend and I both be the runner?
The dam wall run has one runner, so Wall Run AI is made for one person or one pet per photo. To make a friend the runner, use a photo of that friend alone, with their permission; everyone shown must be 18 or older.
Can I put my dog in it?
Yes. Pets keep their own body, so a dog runs up the dam wall as a dog. Use a photo of one pet facing the camera, with as much of its body visible as you can.
